Economy/Jobs

We must, we can and we will put Californians back to work. Recently California's jobless rate reached an alarming 70 year high. The January 2010 unemployment rate hit 12.5%. A major factor of California's high unemployment is that businesses large and small have been leaving the state for years because of unbearable taxes and regulations imposed by the California State Government. As a businessman, I was appalled when Jerry Brown, on March 5, 2010, the day of his filing to run as the Democratic candidate for governor said, "This process of government of democracy is completely and profoundly different than running a business." Sorry Jerry, wrong answer. This kind of thinking is exactly why businesses are abandoning California and unemployment is among the highest in the Nation.

As Governor of California, I will implement these three steps that will revitalize California's existing businesses and bring new businesses back to the Golden State.

1. Give tax breaks and incentives for a limited time to existing businesses, and new
businesses desiring to relocate to California.
2. Review and change regulations that have driven businesses from California and to
    our neighboring states and abroad.
3. Change the rules for the benefit of business and industry so we can "jump start" the
economy and get California working again.

There is one other vital step to this process. We must evict every career politician that has contributed to the demise of the California Dream. No longer will we allow them to control our destiny. They work for us and we have the right to fire them. We must and we will replace them with strong conservative men and women who can get the job done. Our children's future and the future of all Californians depend on our decisions in 2010, 2012 and 2014. WE THE PEOPLE MUST ACT NOW OR BE IN BONDAGE FOREVER TO GOVERNMENT.
